About SVKM's NMIMS
Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Society's Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust Act. From its humble beginnings in 1934, when it took over the Rashtriya Shala, a school established in 1921 in the wake of the National Movement, the Mandal today has grown into a big educational complex imparting high-level education to more than 35,000 students. NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), a Deemed to be University headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, was started in 1981 and has off campuses at Navi Mumbai, Shirpur (M.S), Dhule (M.S), Indore (M.P.), Hyderabad (Telangana), Bangalore (KA), and Chandigarh. The Hyderabad campus started academic activities at Jadcherla Campus from AY 2018-19. It is a 90-acre (the biggest of the NMIMS family) sprawling campus with fully residential world-class facilities; a residential international school and an Olympic-standard sports complex in 26 acres are unique features of the campus. At Hyderabad campus offered courses are Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Law and Commerce.
About School of Technology Management and Engineering
STME is founded on the principles of imparting quality education to students and grooming them to be practitioners of what they are taught. The evolution of the school as an institution of prominence in the country today primarily due to the strong industry participation in all strategic and decision making processes further strengthening the high academic standards that management of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) have set. The consistent academic quality, research focus, faculty from top national and global institutes and strong industry linkages at STME has placed it amongst the nation's prime centres of educational excellence and research today.
It comprises of Under-Graduate program B. Tech in Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), which focus on creating the technically sound, moral in character and owing to the ever-changing demands of the industry.
STME provides numerous online platforms for the students to learn and to enhance their skill set. It has a tie up with the best MOOC platforms in the industry like Coursera, IBM. in order to provide the best learning to the students apart from their curriculum. Various events have been conducted to enhance leadership skills and to keep the students updated about the present scenario of the world.
